Everyone has a cell phone, typically with camera or even video capability. What does this mean for you? Should an event, like last year’s windstorm in a stadium that was caught and posted by a fan, occur in your stadium, you may have only a few minutes to prepare a statement for the press, and be able to positively address the situation. Emily Turner, Vice President of Spaeth Communications, will discuss strategies for building a crisis plan that helps your stadium retain your positive image of safety and security even when you have zero time to prepare a media response. |

Pentasys is a portal-style screening system currently in development. SMA managers are needed to act as advisors to help carry this system to cost-effective relevance for stadium use. The detection system uses extremely low frequency energy (500Hz - 2.5KHz) and detects the variance in the transmitted frequency when the energy passes through the targeted substance. The low frequencies are inherently safe and don’t affect electronics such as pacemakers, hearing aids, insulin pumps or detonation devices. Substances normally used for shielding are penetrated as if they are invisible by the low frequencies used. They are now transmitting these detection frequencies across a 6' wide portal. The detection system science will be presented at this time, followed by a demonstration and opportunity for questions during lunch. |
